Our History

Community Women Forum (CWF) was established with the vision of empowering women and strengthening community-based initiatives that promote social inclusion, dignity, and sustainable development. Since its inception, CWF has remained committed to supporting women from marginalized and underserved communities by creating opportunities for leadership, economic empowerment, and collective action.

The foundation of CWF was inspired by the growing need to organize women at the grassroots level and strengthen their participation in social and economic development processes. During the early years, CWF worked closely with local women’s groups, cooperatives, and community networks to encourage women’s engagement in community decision-making and income-generating activities.

As the organization expanded its outreach, CWF collaborated with several women-led cooperatives and local groups in different communities. Through these partnerships, the organization promoted savings and credit activities, women’s entrepreneurship, awareness campaigns, and community support mechanisms aimed at improving the overall quality of life of women and their families.

Over time, CWF broadened its areas of work to address wider social and environmental challenges.
